    An exciting opportunity for a Statistician II has arisen at Quanticate. Your role as a Statistician II will be to carry out tasks related to the programming requirements of statistical reporting, and you will also have the opportunity to provide project leadership of small projects.

    Responsibilities

     

    Your core responsibilities will be to:

     

    •  Carry out statistical tasks requiring a high level of technical training and understanding
    •  Provide high quality statistical support to studies including production of tables, figures and listings, contributing to SAPs and statistical reports under the guidance of Senior and Principal Statisticians
    •  Plan, organise and manage work load, often working across multiple studies
    •  Complete work on time. Often work to timelines assigned external to Statistics
    •  Work to clients expectations
    •  May organise/coordinate some study deliverables
    •  Manage the scope of projects, including identification of work that is beyond scope or budget
    •  Decide when issues should be raised with the project lead/client
    •  Provide verbal statistical explanations to clients and internal customers
    •  Ensure that statistical output delivered to the client is fit for purpose, on time, and completed within budget
    •  Ensure quality control of statistical output is executed thoroughly and in accordance with SOPs
    •  When required, work as project lead, ensuring tasks are appropriately delegated to other statisticians, and working with staff across functions
    •  Ensure that statistical output delivered to the client is fit for purpose, on time, and completed within budget
    •  Maintain good communication with the project lead, or client where applicable, including the status of any assigned work and any issues including data quality and timelines
    •  Develop mentoring skills to advise other statisticians or programmers
    •  Contribute to knowledge share activities
    •  Deliver excellent customer care
    •  Work closely with line manager to review objectives, progress and development
    •     Work closely with Senior and Principal Project Delivery Managers, Portfolio Managers/Director/VP, Senior Programming and Statistics staff, Group Managers, Clinicians and Medical Writers for the successful delivery of statistical activities
    •  Work in Partnership with support functions including HR, Finance, IT and BD.
    •  Work closely with other statisticians and programmers assigned to the same o similar projects to share production of outputs, QC work, and to give/receive technical advice
    •  Support the project statistician to ensure work sent to clients is of high quality
    •  Some direct interaction with clients
    •  Respond to any ad-hoc client requests, under supervision of Senior or Principal Statistician

     

    Qualifications

     

    In order to be considered for this role, you will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:

     

    •  Qualified minimally to MSc level in statistics or equivalent
    •  Relevant experience within the pharmaceutical or medical sector (1+ years)
    •  Understand the principles and procedures of statistics
    •  Good PC skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office
    •  Experience using SAS and other statistical software
    •  Good written and oral communication skills
    •  Good organisational skills
    •  Good analytical and problem solving skills
