    In light of our continued growth an exciting opportunity has arisen for a new Business Development Executive (BDE) within our busy Commercial Business Development team. The BDE’s role is to assist with achieving the company strategy by contributing towards devising and implementing a strategic business development plan in accordance with the company's objectives and strategy.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    Your core responsibilities would consist of:

     

    • Take responsibility for meeting sales targets as agreed with your line manager
    • Develop, plan and target your client base ensuring your objectives and ideas are in line with the company strategy
    • Develop new business opportunities and grow existing accounts
    • On-demand travel to carry out sales visits with customers and prospective clients
    • Work with your fellow Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) (i.e. business development and operational colleagues) to achieve company goals
    • Contribute and support in the preparation and implementation of a comprehensive marketing plans in conjunction with the marketing team and fellow business development colleagues
    • Attend, network and exhibit at industry events/conferences
    • Prepare client presentations and proposals delivering the Quanticate OATH
    • Review, contribute and write proposals for new business opportunities
    • Work with clients to resolve any challenges or grievances raised
    • Take responsibility for all aspects of account management
    • Ensure communications both internally and externally are professional
    • Create and maintain partnerships with other companies whereby such a partnership will generate business for both parties
    • Provide timely sales reports/updates to your line manager
    • Ensure team and personal client information in the Quanticate CRM is kept up to date and work with administrator to ensure accuracy

    Qualifications

    In order to be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:

     

    • Educated to degree level
    • Be prepared to work into a very competitive market (knock backs happen / perseverance required!)
    • Flexibility within role and style, working across many accounts and differing clients methodologies
    • The want to learn new things, develop and grow as an individual to further their career
    • Previous role within Sales/Business Development
    • Determination and self-driven, being realistic to the opportunity, sometimes working out of hours and/or across different time zones to achieve goals
    • Service industry experience, particularly with pharmaceutical companies and market state
    • Ability to operate at manager level and work with fellow colleagues and line manger
    • Ability to persuade peers when necessary
    • Excellent communication skills (oral and written), good organisational and analytical skills. Must be flexible. To be able to work under pressure and use own initiative
    • Experienced in using Microsoft Office i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Online CRMs knowledge and experience beneficial
    • Making use of free business tools i.e. LinkedIn, Skype/Lync Business to aid and benefit Quanticate client base
