  • Overview

    With a focus on Pharmacovigilance, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to expand our client base and grow the top-line sales through own personal sales efforts, and account management where applicable.

     

    Responsibilities

    New Business Development – identify and secure contracts with new clients to increase market penetration. 

    • BD team management and development – including support at client presentations and bid defence meetings as appropriate
    • Business expansion – work with Director of Business Development where applicable to assist with expansion of Quanticate’s Pharmacovigilance division
    • Account Management - develop and nurture relationships with existing clients to secure repeat business
    • Account Plans - prepare and deliver account plans to grow key accounts
    • FSP Customer Targets/Preferred-provider initiatives - identify and secure new FSP and preferred-provider accounts
    • Process Improvement – where applicable work with Director of Business Development to initiate and implement improved departmental processes and procedures
    • Partnerships – develop mutually beneficial partnerships such as reciprocal business arrangements with clinical CROs
    • Proposals – review and improve proposals before they go out to prospects/clients
    • Sales Administration – ensure contact management system is maintained to effectively track personal activity and follow-up

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 2 years within the CRO industry
    • 1 year Pharmacovigilance focused work
    • Relevant sales and/or marketing experience, preferably within the CRO industry
    • Commercial awareness
    • Ability to present effectively
    • Highly efficient and organised, able to meet deadlines and prioritise work
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Excellent telephone manner
    • Negotiation skills
    • IT literate (including all office packages)
    • Personal presence, drive, and enthusiasm
